Community Building In his ministry, Damien not only provided spiritual care but also actively built a community for the lepers of Molokai. By constructing homes, schools, and churches, he created a sense of belonging where isolation once prevailed. This aspect of his mission reminds us of the importance of fostering community in our own lives. O St. Damien, you understood the importance of community, bringing hope and connection to the isolated. Guide us in our efforts to build inclusive communities where all feel welcome and valued. May our shared bonds strengthen our faith and commitment to one another. Help me to contribute to the communities around me, fostering connection and support.
