In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Awakening in Prison During his time in prison after being captured in 1202, Francis experienced a profound transformation. This year of captivity led him to reflect deeply on his life and priorities, igniting a spiritual awakening that would set the course for his future. It marked the beginning of his journey from a life of luxury to one dedicated to God and service. O Saint Francis, you transformed your life in the solitude of your imprisonment. Help us to find purpose in our own trials and to seek God fervently in times of difficulty. Awaken within us a spirit of renewal that turns our heart towards service and love. May your intercession guide us toward a deeper relationship with God in our own struggles.
