In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Command at St. Damian In 1206, while praying in the dilapidated church of St. Damian, Francis received a divine command to rebuild Christ's Church. This moment marked the turning point in his life, prompting him to embrace radical humility and poverty. His heartfelt response to God's call inspires many to seek renewal in their own faith journeys. O Saint Francis, who heard the voice of Christ urging you to rebuild His Church, ignite in us a similar desire for renewal. May we respond to God’s call with courage and dedication. Guide us to mend the brokenness in our lives and communities with love and humility. Intercede for us as we seek to restore faith in our own lives.
