In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Peace amidst Conflict Francis's journey to Egypt during the Fifth Crusade exemplified his commitment to peace and reconciliation. Rather than succumbing to the violence surrounding him, he sought dialogue with the Sultan, representing a message of love over hostility. His bravery in advocating for peace challenges us to respond to conflict with compassion. O Saint Francis, you fearlessly sought peace in a world marked by conflict. Inspire us to be peacemakers in our families and communities, embodying your spirit of love and reconciliation. May we always choose dialogue over discord.
