St. Gertrude the Great Prayers for the Souls in Purgatory Novena - Day 5

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Depth of Christ's Wounds St. Gertrude was particularly drawn to the depth of Jesus' wounds and the suffering He endured for humanity. She articulated that His scars are a testament to His love and the price paid for our salvation. Recognizing the importance of these wounds, she offered them in her prayers for the redemption of souls in Purgatory. O St. Gertrude, through the depth of Christ's wounds, intercede for those souls suffering in Purgatory. May their pain be lessened by the love reflected in those sacred marks. Teach us to offer our suffering in union with His for the comfort of all in need. Amen. May the power of His wounds bring solace and peace to the suffering souls.
