In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Heart of a Missionary In 597, St. Gregory sent 40 monks, led by Augustine of Canterbury, to evangelize the Anglo-Saxons. This endeavor not only spread Christianity in England but highlighted Gregory's fervent desire to share the love of Christ with others. His commitment to missionary work is a testament to the Church's call to reach out to those in need of faith. O St. Gregory the Great, you embraced the world with open arms, sending forth missionaries to spread the Gospel. Ignite in me a passion for the faith that urges me to share it with others. May I be courageous in my actions and generous in my spirit to bring others to know Christ. Intercede for me that I may be a light to those around me.
