St Homobonus Novena - Day 4

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Beloved and charitable St. Homobonus, your honesty and good will served your community and the Lord well. Help me follow your example and not give in to temptations of greed and shortcuts that wound others. I ask for guidance in my work and business, so that I may prosper by choosing virtue over avarice. (mention request here…) Amen. O Lord, You who inspired St Homobonus with such zeal for his profession as a tailor, grant that he may guard us that we may not desire riches. Rather help us to remember that, as Scripture tells us, it will not be easy for a rich man to enter heaven, and so may we be always content with the bare necessities of life and not desire the love of money.
