In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Commitment to the Pope From the inception of the Society of Jesus, Ignatius and his followers committed themselves to serving the Pope at a time of great need in the Church. This loyalty exemplified their dedication to the broader community of faith. Ignatius understood the significance of unity in mission and the role of the papacy in guiding the Church’s mission and direction. O St. Ignatius, strengthen my commitment to the Church and its leaders. Help me to support the papacy with my prayers and actions, fostering unity and peace within the body of Christ. May I always act in accordance with your desire to serve wherever the need is greatest. Inspire me to be a source of strength in my faith community. May my heart be open to the needs of the Church.
