In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Living in a Secular World Having navigated a world under Islamic rule, St. John exemplified how to maintain one's faith amidst external pressures. His life serves as a testament to living authentically as a Christian while engaging with the secular environment. He encourages us to witness to our faith with integrity, regardless of cultural challenges. O St. John of Damascus, who lived steadfastly in a secular world, intercede for us as we navigate our own challenges. Grant us fortitude to practice our faith boldly in a society that often diverges from our beliefs. May your example remind us that true conversion begins within ourselves.
