St John of God Novena - Day 1

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Soldier's Awakening John of God, once a soldier, faced the harsh realities of life, leading him to a significant transformation. Witnessing suffering stirred within him a deep compassion, prompting a spiritual awakening. This moment marked the beginning of his journey toward a life dedicated to service. O Saint John of God, from the battlefield of your early life, you emerged transformed by compassion. Teach us to awaken our hearts to the suffering around us. Through your intercession, may we find the strength to respond to those in need with love and commitment. Help me, dear Saint, to open my heart to the needs of others in my life.
