In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Founding the Hospital In 1538, John opened his own hospital, a sanctuary for the sick and needy. Each brick built, and each patient treated reflected his unwavering spirit and dedication. The hospital became a place of healing, empathy, and hope for many. O founder of healing, John of God, you established a refuge for those in despair. Inspire us to create spaces of support and care in our own lives. Help us to embody your spirit of healing and hope for the sick and suffering. May I assist in building a community of care where love prevails.
