In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Eternal Rest with God St. John of the Cross passed away on December 14, 1591, leaving behind a legacy of profound mystical writings and a life dedicated to God. His journey culminated in the promise of eternal rest with the Lord, a reminder for us of the glory that awaits those who faithfully pursue the path of holiness. His life inspires us to look toward our eternal home with hope. O St. John of the Cross, may your soul rest eternally in God’s loving embrace. Inspire us to conclude our earthly journey with the same faithfulness and love that you embodied. Help us to trust in the promise of eternal life, securing our hopes in God alone.
