St. John the Apostle Novena - Day 1

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Calling by the Sea Tradition remembers your early days as a fisherman alongside your brother, James, mending nets on the shores of Galilee. In that moment, Jesus called you to leave behind your earthly work and embrace a life devoted to spreading His message of love. Your response exemplified readiness and trust, a model for all who seek to follow the Lord's call in their own lives. O beloved John, who responded to Christ's call by the sea, grant us the grace to hear and follow our own divine vocations. May your example inspire us to leave our nets behind, trusting in God's plan for our lives. Help us cultivate a spirit of obedience and joy in our discipleship, leading us closer to the heart of Jesus. Intercede for my intention, that I may recognize and follow God's calling in my life.
