In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Desire for Christ At the age of 19, Kateri received her First Communion, a pivotal moment that ignited her desire to know Christ more fully. Despite the resistance from her uncle and the norms of her community, her commitment to her faith did not waver. This burning desire for a deeper relationship with Jesus propelled her to embrace the Christian life amidst challenges. O Kateri, fervent lover of Christ, inspire us with your unwavering desire for His presence. May we seek Him daily and cultivate a heart devoted to His teachings. Help us to grow in our faith, particularly when faced with obstacles, just as you did. Through your example, may we deepen our relationship with the Lord. Amen.
