In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Rejecting Worldly Attachments You courageously rejected the advances of a wealthy suitor, opting instead for a life of purity dedicated to God. This bold choice placed you at odds with societal expectations, but it reinforced your faith and offered a powerful testimony of commitment. Through your example, we learn the value of prioritizing spiritual over worldly attachments. O St. Lucy, you stood firm against worldly temptations and chose a higher calling. Help us to discern the distractions in our lives, giving us the strength to say 'no' to what pulls us away from You. May we find joy in spiritual pursuits, just as you did. Amen.
