In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Call at the Tax Booth Matthew, once a despised tax collector, encountered Jesus at his tax booth. In that critical moment, he was invited to leave behind his old life of wealth and status, illustrating the profound grace of God that transcends societal scorn. This pivotal decision highlights the power of a personal call to discipleship, urging us to embrace our own invitations from Christ. O Saint Matthew, you heard the call of Jesus amidst your daily duties. Teach us to recognize and respond to His voice in our own lives, no matter our past. May your example inspire us to follow Him wholeheartedly, leaving behind all that holds us back. Through your intercession, I ask for the courage to respond to God's call in my life.
