In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Stigmata On September 20, 1918, while in prayer before a crucifix, Padre Pio received the stigmata, marking his body with the wounds of Christ. This miraculous event was both a great blessing and a heavy burden, drawing numerous souls to him for healing and counsel. O St. Padre Pio, you bore the wounds of Christ with steadfast love and humility. Teach us to bear our own trials with grace, turning our pain into a means of drawing closer to Christ. May I find strength in my suffering and transform it into a source of hope for others.
