In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Call to Mission Peter Chanel felt a deep conviction to spread the Gospel from a young age. After being ordained a priest in 1827, he joined the Society of Mary, embodying the spirit of missionary work that would define his life. His longing to share Christ’s love with distant peoples illustrates the importance of responding to God’s call in our own lives. O St. Peter Chanel, who answered the call to bring the Gospel to distant lands, inspire us to embrace our own mission. May we be willing to step beyond our comfort zones in service to others, just as you did. Help us to nurture the same passion for spreading Christ's message of love and hope. Intercede for us that we may respond joyfully to our own divine calls. Through your intercession, may I find clarity in my own mission.
