In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Gentle Shepherd Peter Chanel's gentle demeanor and pastoral care drew many to his teachings. He emphasized God’s love and the promise of eternal life, nurturing the faith of his converts with kindness. This aspect of his ministry highlights the importance of love and compassion in our own efforts to evangelize. O St. Peter Chanel, gentle shepherd of souls, you led many to the embrace of Christ through your kindness. Help us to approach others with love and gentleness, so that they may encounter God through us. May we learn to be patient and compassionate in our daily interactions. Pray for us, that we may reflect the love of Christ in all we do. Through your intercession, may my heart grow in compassion for others.
