In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Orphaned Scholar As a young boy in Ravenna, you faced the harsh reality of being orphaned, yet your intellect and dedication to study shone brightly through your humble beginnings. It was your brother, a cleric, who recognized your potential and nurtured your love for learning, setting you on a path that would change the Church forever. The transition from adversity to enlightenment illustrates how God can work through trials to prepare us for greatness. O St. Peter Damian, who rose from the depths of loss to become a beacon of knowledge, inspire us to seek wisdom amidst our hardships. Guide us to find our strength in our struggles, as you did, leading us closer to God. May your example of perseverance ignite a passion for learning in our hearts. Amen.
