In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Finding Joy in Silence In the midst of a strict and austere life as a Carmelite, Teresa discovered immense joy in silence and solitude. She found God in the quiet, transforming the challenges of her cloistered existence into opportunities for deep communion. Her ability to find joy in silence serves as an invitation for all believers to seek God in stillness. O St. Teresa, you embraced the silence of the cloister and found joy in the presence of God. Teach us to adorn our own times of solitude with prayer and contemplation, that we may discover the depth of His love. Help us to appreciate the beauty of silence and feel God’s presence within. Intercede for us, that we may find the joy of God in our own quiet moments.
