The Early Influences Born in 1478 to humble beginnings in London, your father's role as a lawyer inspired you to pursue a path of education and integrity. At the University of Oxford, your passion for humanities, especially the works of Plato, shaped your moral and intellectual foundation. These early experiences instilled in you a deep commitment to justice and truth that would guide your later decisions. O St. Thomas More, you began your journey in simple surroundings, yet your thirst for knowledge and the truth shaped your future. Help us to be open to the influences in our lives, seeking wisdom and virtue above all else. May your example inspire us to pursue a life grounded in integrity. Amen.
