In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Burden of Captivity Your capture by pirates and subsequent enslavement in Tunis profoundly marked your life. During this dark period, you endured hardship, yet it deepened your resolve to serve the destitute upon your return. This experience transformed your understanding of suffering and ignited your call to charity. O Saint Vincent, who endured captivity with unwavering faith, may your trials remind us of the strength found in suffering. Help me to embrace my own challenges, seeing them as opportunities to grow in compassion and service. Guide me to reflect your grace even in difficult times, remembering that all can be redeemed in love. I ask for your intercession in my personal intention.
