The Courage of Perpetua Vibia Perpetua exemplified incredible courage as she faced the persecution of her faith in 203 AD Carthage. Despite her father's pleading, she remained resolute in her identity as a Christian, famously stating, "I cannot be called anything other than what I am—a Christian." Her unwavering commitment stands as a testimony to the strength of faith against familial and societal pressures. O Saint Perpetua, martyr and symbol of courage, help us to stand firm in our beliefs despite adversity. Grant us the strength to prioritize our faith above all else. May your spirit inspire us to face challenges with unwavering conviction and grace. Saint Perpetua, intercede for us, that we may find courage in our trials.
