The Fireman's Daughter Prayer

I love you, Daddy. As I settle down for sleep, I ask You, dear Lord, to guard my soul. Mommy says I should lift up my prayers for many people today. My daddy is a fireman, you know, who saved many lives today. Although I trust he is safe with You, I wish he were here with me now, for he is the one who always prayed with me each night. And Daddy, if you can hear me from up above, I want to say, I love you. I am so proud of you. I wish you weren’t gone.
