The Prayer, God, Who Are You?

O Almighty Creator of everything that exists, both visible and invisible, who are You? Are You the deity of my family's traditions, the one true God I have known? Are You the God of Abraham, the God worshipped by the Jewish people? Are You Muhammad, Buddha, Allah, or one of the deities recognized in Hinduism? How can anyone come to know You if You choose to stay hidden from us? How can we understand Your nature or Your teachings if You remain elusive? How can we discover the path to everlasting joy if You are shrouded in mystery? How can we discern what is good or evil without guidance? How can You judge those who are lost without showing them Your way? God, who are You? For how long will You be a mystery in my existence? Please reveal Yourself so that I may truly know You and follow Your path. I earnestly ask You to share Your identity with me.
