The Prayer, Learning Christ.

Teach me, O Lord, to embody sweetness and gentleness in every circumstance of life, even amid disappointments, and through the thoughtlessness of those I have placed my trust in, and the unreliability of those I depended upon. Help me to set aside my own needs and focus on the joy of others, concealing my minor aches and sorrows so that I alone may bear them. Teach me to gain wisdom from the trials I encounter. May such experiences cultivate within me patience instead of irritability, and foster broad-minded forgiveness rather than narrowness, pride, or arrogance. May no person be negatively affected by my presence; may they not leave less good, pure, true, kind, or noble for having journeyed alongside me as we strive toward Eternal Life. As I move from one distraction to the next, allow me to occasionally murmur a word of love to You. May my life reflect the supernatural, brimming with the capacity for good and resolute in my aspiration for holiness.Amen.
