The Prayer, Mother Of Our Redeemer

Mother of our Redeemer, in this time set apart for you, we joyfully recognize you as truly blessed. You placed your trust in the Word of God the Father and humbly accepted your role as His handmaid. Through you, the Word took on human form and lived among us. We honor you as our Mother, the Mother of the Church. Your loving watch over the early Church must have been immense, and your maternal care surely encouraged the apostles as they dedicated themselves to the mission of your Divine Son on earth. Inspire the Church to ever be a beacon and instrument of a deep union with God. To you, our Mother, we particularly commend our Bishop and the priests of our diocese. They share in a unique way in the priesthood of your Divine Son, chosen to be His ministers of Word and Sacrament. Please ask Him to fill them with fervor, to keep them faithful and cheerful in their ministry, aware of their important role in bringing glory to the Father and honor to the Church. Holy Mother, encourage an increase in our priests by motivating our youth to respond generously to serve Jesus through the priesthood and in religious life. Support all of us, O Virgin Mary, on our faith journey and grant us the grace of everlasting salvation.
