O holy angel, present beside me, Please attend Mass in my place, Kneel for me where I yearn to be, At the sacred celebration of Holy Mass. During the Offertory, I ask you to take, All that I am and possess, And offer it as my own sacrifice Upon the holy altar's throne. At the sound of the consecration bell, Adore with the love of a Seraph, My Jesus, concealed within the Host, Come down to us from the heavens. And when the Priest receives communion, Please bring my Lord to me, That His gentle heart may touch mine, And I may be His beloved dwelling place.
