The Prayer The Royal Banners Forward Go

The royal banners move ahead; The Cross radiates with a sacred light, Where Christ faced death for our sins, And through His death, He brought life to humanity. From the place where the spear was plunged, A torrent of life poured from His side, Cleansing us with that holy stream Where Water and Blood flowed together. All that David prophesied has now come to pass, In his ancient and true song; 'Among the nations, God declares,' he said, 'Has sovereignly reigned and triumphed upon the Tree.' O Tree of grace! Tree of radiance! O Tree adorned with royal hues! Chosen, upon whose triumphal trunk The sacred Body could find its rest. Upon whose outstretched arms, extended wide, The weight of the world's redemption hung: The cost for all humankind was paid, And the captor was stripped of his captives. O Cross, our steadfast hope, we salute you, You are the glory of those who are saved; Grant new merits to the saints, And forgiveness to all who repent. To You, Eternal Triad, we bring our homage, May all honor be rendered to You; Those whom You restore through the Cross, Preserve and guide them now and forever.Amen.
