The Prayer Whatsoever You Do

devotional
The prayer

When I lacked food, you fed me; when I needed a drink, you provided it. Whatever you do for the least of my siblings, you do for Me. Come and enter into the dwelling of My Father. When I was an outsider, you welcomed me; when I had no clothes, you clothed me. When I felt worn out, you provided me comfort; when I was scared, you soothed my fears. As a child, you taught me how to read; in my solitude, you shared your love with me. In prison, you came to see me; when I was ill, you cared for me. In a foreign land, you offered me shelter; when I struggled to find work, you helped me secure it. When I was injured, you treated my wounds; when I sought companionship, you reached out to me. Regardless of my race, whether black, white, or yellow; when I faced mockery or scorn, you supported me through my trials. In my old age, you smiled at me; when I could not find peace, you brought it to me. You saw me, covered in spit and blood; filthy with sweat, yet you showed that you recognized me. You stood by me in moments of adversity; in times of happiness, we shared together.
