Thirty Days Prayer To The Blessed Virgin Mary, In Honour Of The Sacred Heart Of Jesus

novena
The prayer

O ever-glorious and Blessed Mary, Queen of Virgins and Mother of Mercy, hope and solace for the distressed and sorrowful souls, I implore you through the sorrowful sword that pierced your Heart as your only Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, endured death and shame upon the Cross. Through that deep maternal love and tender compassion He had for you, grieving alongside you, as He entrusted you to the care of His beloved Disciple, St. John, I beseech you to have mercy on my poverty and needs; to show compassion for my anxieties and troubles; to assist and comfort me in my weaknesses and sufferings. You are the Mother of mercy, the sweet consoler and refuge of those in need, the orphaned, the desolate, and the suffering. Therefore, look upon me, a miserable and forlorn child of Eve, and hearken to my prayer. For I am surrounded by evils and weighed down by the anguish caused by my sins. Where else can I seek secure refuge O dear Mother of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, except under your maternal care? Please, I ask you, with tender compassion, to attend to my humble and earnest request. I request this through the boundless mercy of your beloved Son — through that love and humility He embraced our human nature, when you, in obedience to the divine Will, gave your consent to bring Him forth from the purity of your womb, to bless the world with His presence. I plead through the wounds of His holy Flesh, caused by the cords and whips that bound and scourged Him while He was stripped of His seamless garment, for which His executioners then cast lots. I plead through the mockery and indignities He endured, the false accusations and wrongful judgement that led to His death, which He bore with divine patience. I plea through His bitter tears and bloody sweat; His silence and surrender; His sadness and sorrowful heart. I ask this through the Blood that flowed from His sacred Head, when He was struck by a reed and pierced by a crown of thorns. I plead through the intense torments He suffered, as His hands and feet were nailed to the Cross's tree. I plead through His agonizing thirst and the bitter drink of vinegar and gall. I plead through His abandonment on the Cross, when He cried out: "My God! my God! why hast Thou forsaken me?". I plead through the mercy He showed to the good thief and through His commendation of His precious Soul into the hands of His Eternal Father before He breathed His last. I plead through the Blood mingled with water that flowed from His sacred Side when He was pierced by a lance, from which a tide of grace and mercy has come to us. I plead through His immaculate life, bitter Passion, and disgraceful death on the cross, at which nature trembled — the rocks split, the temple veil tore, the earth shook, and darkness fell upon the sun and moon. I plead through His descent into hell, where He consoled the Saints of the Old Covenant with His presence and triumphed over captivity. I plead through His glorious victory over death on the third day and through the joy His resurrection brought, witnessed by you, His blessed Mother, His Apostles, and His Disciples, during the forty days He appeared to them until His miraculous ascension into heaven. I plead through the grace of the Holy Spirit which filled the hearts of the Disciples when He descended upon them like fiery tongues, inspiring their zeal for evangelizing the world as they went forth to spread the Gospel. I plead through the fearful coming of your Son on that last dreadful day when He shall judge the living and the dead, and the world in fire. I plead through the compassion He showed you in life and the ineffable joy you felt at your Assumption into heaven, where you are forever engulfed in the beautiful contemplation of His divine perfections. O glorious and eternally blessed Virgin, comfort the heart of your servant by securing for me the graces and favors I now earnestly seek. (Here mention your requests) As I trust that my Divine Savior honors you as His beloved Mother, to whom He grants all, let me soon experience the power of your intercession, reflecting your maternal love and His loving Heart, who graciously fulfills the requests of those who love and revere Him. Therefore, O Most Blessed Virgin, alongside my current petition, please also obtain for me from your dear Son, our Lord and our God, a lively faith, unwavering hope, perfect charity, a contrite heart, sincere tears of repentance, honest confession, proper restitution, abstinence from sin, love for God and neighbor, disdain for worldly matters, patience in enduring humiliations, and even, if necessary, an ignoble death for love of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Please also grant me, O Holy Mother of God, perseverance in good works, fulfillment of noble goals, self-discipline, a virtuous life, and at my journey's end, a heartfelt and sincere repentance, supported by a vivid and alert mind that may allow me to receive the last Sacraments of the Church worthily and to depart in your friendship and favor. Finally, I implore you, please intercede for the souls of my parents, siblings, relatives, and benefactors, both living and deceased, that they may enjoy everlasting life.Amen.
