World Day Of Prayer For The Sick February 11, 2008
Jesus demonstrated his compassion for the ill by visiting, touching, forgiving, and healing them. He invites us to see him in our ailing brothers and sisters (Matthew 25:31-40). Over the ages, the faithful have consistently shown love and support for those who suffer from illness. The Church remembers the sick in its daily prayers and particularly during the Eucharistic celebration in the Prayer of the Faithful. The Church's resource, Pastoral Care of the Sick and the Dying, includes numerous prayers and blessings intended for the sick.
