Alfonso Miquel Garriga

St. Alfonso Miquel Garriga was born on January 30, 1917, in the small village of Olesa de Montserrat, Spain. In 1940, Alfonso entered the Order of Friars Minor, also known as the Franciscans, where his passion for service and community was further nurtured. He took his religious vows in 1945, adopting the name Alfonso Miquel in honor of St. Michael.
