Ambrose Traversari

St. Ambrose Traversari, born in 1386 in Florence, Italy, was a member of the Vallombrosan Order, which sought to renew monastic life through strict observance and scholarly pursuits. From a young age, he displayed exceptional intelligence and a deep inclination toward spiritual matters, leading him to join the Vallombrosans at Montughi near Florence as a young man.
