Justin Russolillo

Justin Russolillo was born on January 7, 1891, in Cava de' Tirreni, a small town in southern Italy. From a young age, he exhibited a deep spiritual inclination, feeling a strong call to serve God and his fellow man. His family, particularly his devout mother, played a crucial role in fostering his faith. After studying philosophy and theology, Justin was ordained a priest on June 21, 1913, in the diocese of Salerno.

In his early ministry, Father Russolillo worked in parishes, engaging with the community and offering guidance to those in need. He was particularly known for his ability to connect with young people, recognizing their struggles and desire for purpose in a changing world. This outreach would later influence his founding of the Congregation of the Servants of Mary, which aimed to provide spiritual formation and support to those seeking a closer relationship with God.
