María Inés Teresa Arias

María Inés Teresa Arias was born on December 2, 1900, in the vibrant town of San Juan de los Morros, Venezuela. In 1920, at just twenty years old, María Inés joined the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, a decision that would shape her life’s path. A natural leader, she quickly gained the respect and admiration of her peers and the communities she served.

Throughout her years in Mexico, María Inés was dedicated to the education of young girls, believing strongly in the power of knowledge as a means of empowerment.
