Nicolás María Alberca y Torres

Nicolás María Alberca y Torres was born on October 19, 1795, in the small village of Villanueva de la Serena, located in the province of Badajoz, Spain. From an early age, he showed a profound dedication to his faith and a desire to serve God. After completing his studies, Nicolás entered the seminary, where he continued to deepen his understanding of the Catholic faith. In 1821, Father Nicolás embarked on a ship bound for Mexico, where he would spend the next several decades. Arriving in the bustling port of Veracruz, he experienced the joy and challenges of missionary life.
