Peter de Regalado

Saint Peter de Regalado was born in 1390 in the town of Cuéllar, near Segovia, Spain, into a noble family with deep Christian roots. His early life was marked by a strong inclination towards spirituality and a profound desire to serve others. From a young age, Peter showed an exceptional dedication to prayer and a life of virtue, reflecting the ideals of the Gospel. When he was about 18 years old, he entered the Franciscan order, joining the Observant branch, which sought to live out the Rule of St. Francis with greater rigor and simplicity.

During his time as a Franciscan friar, Peter embraced a life of penance and poverty, embodying the Franciscan charism of humility and service. He was particularly known for his deep commitment to prayer, spending long hours in contemplation.
