Pierre Ploquin

Pierre Ploquin was born in France on April 4, 1897, into a nurturing family that instilled in him strong Christian values from a young age. Growing up in a devout environment, he developed a deep affection for the faith. This interest eventually guided him toward the priesthood, where he felt called to dedicate his life to serving both God and his community.

After studying at the seminary, Pierre was ordained a priest on July 2, 1922. His early ministry took place in various parishes, where his kind demeanor and pastoral care quickly won the hearts of his parishioners. He was especially known for his dedication to the sick and the poor, often visiting those unable to leave their homes. He believed that true service to God meant providing for the least among us, a principle he famously embodied throughout his ministry.

During World War II, Pierre's commitment to his community deepened. With many families facing hardship and uncertainty, he organized aid efforts and provided emotional support. His courage was palpable as he wouldn’t shy away from speaking out against injustices, risking his safety to defend those who were suffering.
