Teresa Manganiello

Teresa Manganiello was born on November 1, 1910, in the small village of Paternopoli, Italy. She was the youngest of four children in a devout Catholic family. From a young age, Teresa exhibited a deep spirituality that was nurtured by her parents and her experiencing of the local parish life. She was particularly drawn to the Eucharist, often spending time in prayer at the church and seeking to understand God's will for her life.

At the age of 18, Teresa felt a strong calling to religious life. In 1929, she joined the Congregation of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart, an order dedicated to education and the spiritual formation of young women. Throughout her formation, Teresa demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to prayer and service, fostering a profound sense of community among her fellow sisters.

Her years as a sister were marked by tireless work in schools and pastoral ministries, where she inspired countless young girls with her enthusiastic faith and charitable heart.
