Advent
A season of patient, hopeful waiting — preparing the heart for the coming of Christ. The weeks carry St. Nicholas, the Immaculate Conception, and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
This season’s great days are Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Dec 8).

Four weeks of watchful waiting
Advent opens the Church year — four weeks of patient, hopeful waiting that prepare the heart for the coming of Christ at Christmas, and for his coming again at the end of time.
The season carries St. Nicholas, the Immaculate Conception, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. Many families keep it with a wreath, a candle lit each week, and a quieter, more expectant rhythm of prayer.
