October
October is the month of the Holy Rosary. It opens with the Little Flower, keeps the Guardian Angels and Francis of Assisi, and turns the whole household toward Our Lady’s beads.
October’s great days are Simon and Jude (Oct 28).

Keeping October at home
October is given to the Rosary — a fitting month to begin, or return to, a single decade prayed together each evening. Our Lady of the Rosary on the 7th anchors the devotion.
St. Francis on the 4th brings the blessing of animals, beloved by children, and the month’s saints — Thérèse, Teresa of Ávila, the guardian angels — make for warm autumn-evening stories.
