November
November opens with the whole communion of heaven — All Saints and All Souls — and keeps the holy souls all month, before the year itself ends with Christ the King.
November’s great days are All Saints (Nov 1), Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (Nov 2), and Our Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe (Nov 22).

Keeping November at home
On All Saints, many families dress children as a favorite saint and tell their stories; on All Souls, the household prays for the dead, lights candles, and visits the graves of loved ones.
The whole of November is the month of the holy souls — a season to pray for the departed by name. The year then ends in glory with Christ the King, before Advent begins anew.
