A prayer for this intention

For fathers' strength

Most loving Heavenly Father, we express our gratitude for our earthly dads, those to whom you have granted the charge of loving their families and guiding their children. We also thank you for our priests and bishops, whose spiritual fatherhood is essential to the faith of your people. May our earthly fathers draw inspiration from the bravery of Abraham, Jesse, and Joseph, as well as all the holy fathers who came before them, in offering wise guidance to the children under their care. Likewise, may our spiritual fathers follow the examples set by Saints Peter and Paul, along with all the Apostles and their holy successors. Grant them steadfast faith in trying times, hope amidst challenges, and an unwavering love for you, their families, and all your people across the globe. Aid all fathers, both earthly and spiritual, along with all Christian men, so that through your Grace they may continuously grow in holiness and gain a deeper understanding of your Truth. May they generously share this wisdom with those who depend on them. As your love for the world was shown through the sending of your only Son as our Savior and Redeemer, we pray that all men may emulate His gentle fatherly kindness and mercy towards the vulnerable; His humility, perfect obedience to your Will, and courageous proclamation of your Truth. May their lives reflect heroic faithfulness to you. We beseech your blessing upon all whom you have entrusted with fatherhood. May your Holy Spirit continually inspire them with justice, mercy, wisdom, strength, fidelity, and selfless love. May they receive your abundant Grace in this life and eagerly anticipate eternal joy in your presence in the life to come. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son and Our Lord. Amen.
