April
Most years, the greatest feast of all falls in April. Easter breaks the Lenten fast into fifty days of joy — Divine Mercy Sunday, St. Mark, and St. Catherine of Siena follow in the bright Easter weeks.
April’s great days are Divine Mercy Sunday (Apr 4), and Annunciation of the Lord (Apr 5).

Keeping April at home
When Easter falls in April, the long fast gives way all at once: the Alleluia returns, the house is full of light, and the Easter candle burns at every prayer. The fifty days are meant to be celebrated as one unbroken feast.
Divine Mercy Sunday closes the octave of Easter with a tender devotion to the mercy of Christ. It is a fine season to keep the table festive and the prayers joyful, well beyond Easter Day itself.
