The feast of the day

No feast is kept today

An ordinary day in Lent

Most days of the year keep no feast or memorial — and that is not a gap. The Church simply prays the Mass of the weekday and keeps walking through the season. A good day to carry one quiet intention, and to let prayer be unhurried.

The season

Lent

We are in the Sixth Week of Lent — the Church wears violet.

Forty days of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, walking together toward the Triduum and Easter. Today keeps no feast — just the ordinary, unhurried rhythm of the week.
